ModStat Thermostat
Part # ModStat (shown) Digital Thermostat
The ModStat is a microprocessor based, auto changeover, communicating zone thermostat. The ModStat controls a modulating zone damper.
The Modstat thermostats communicate over a 2-wire data link with the system controller to initiate Heat or Cool calls in the system. Zone status and system operation are displayed on the large, easy-to-read backlit LCD display.
The ModStat thermostats are easy to configure and make manual adjustments with the function buttons located on the front cover.
As with all Zonex Systems thermostats, an onboard thermistor is used for precise temperature measurement.
The space ambient temperature is continuously displayed with a range of 55° to 95° F. Programmed setpoints can be manual adjusted or electronically locked through the controller setpoint adjustment. Two-hour override is provided for after hours temporary operation with a touch of a button. The thermostat can be easily field calibrated, if required.
The ModStat can be used in reheat applications, including Fan Powered Boxes. When the space temperature drops below the heat setpoint, there is an output on AUX "A" for the fan relay and AUX "B" for the electric heat. For reheat with no fan, the AUX "B" output is used to energize the electric heat controls. NOTE: An air proving switch must be wired into the AUX "B" output to protect the electric heating devices.
A Celsius version of the thermostat is also available (Part # ModStatC).
